Extremely helpful and easy

I’ve been using this app for probably 10 years. It’s easy to use, greatly helpful in keeping track of history and progress, and keeps me tracking to my goal. My one piece of feedback is the daily cheer popup. I don’t want or need it. If I skip a day, I don’t need the streak counter to start over and pop up a screen for the next 2 weeks. It’s maddening. Give me the option to turn that thing off!

★★★☆☆ · 2026-10-21 · v26.42.0

Good functionality, terrible UI

I really want to like this app. Functionally, it tracks the things I want to track and is reasonably easy to enter the information. Where it’s really lacking is in the ability to get the user interface out of the way of data entry. As an example, there’s no way to turn off the ridiculous Rah Rah messages entry when you first enter a meal for the day. It’s incredibly frustrating to be trying to quickly enter a meal and have to wait several seconds for the “cheering” dialog to...

Would like to have

It would be nice to have user setting options to be able to disable the pop up alerts, such as the food streak and food logged. For the food logged, the visual round blue checkmark after selecting the item is sufficient. The food logged popup after the blue checkmark is a nuisance, especially when you want to quickly add other items below the item you just selected. Otherwise, at first the diary makeover was against the grain, but after accepting the changes the app is overa...

★☆☆☆☆ · 2026-10-19 · v26.41.0

Really poor functionality

This app is not good, I only use it because I’ve been using it for so long all my data is in here. They change the app layout every month when you finally get used to it, and its incredibly annoying to scroll through and figure everything out again. Sometimes it will log me out even though I’ve never once tried to log out. The ads and also streak reminders and all the inane popups are incredibly annoying. The only good thing about it is being able to scan barcodes.

Best calorie counter out there

Have used this on and off over the years, but got back into it after some gastric issues which required me to be careful what I eat and ensure I get enough calories. Hands down, Premium+ is worth the money. The meal planner is WONDERFUL. It works in with what is realistic in terms of budget and preferences, I simply love the way the grocery list is set out with showing what is needed for what and when. If you don’t have the budget for Premium or Premium+, the free version...

how it works

A star rating is one number. The text has the reasons.

Each review is dealt onto the strip as Jev reads it, gets a stamp for what the text says (positive, mixed, neutral, negative) and tags for what it is about, then lands on the deck for its kind of review: praise, a bug report, a complaint about a product decision, a billing problem, a feature request. The verdict line keeps the star average next to what the text says, and the reviews that change colour are the ones a star average hides: four stars with a complaint inside, five stars typed over an angry paragraph. In our study of 1.1 million reviews only 26% of four-star reviews were plain praise.

Under the decks the counters light up what stands out for this app: surprise charges, blame for an update, people saying they are leaving, reviews waiting for a reply, and its most common complaint topics. The category averages next to the charge and update counts come from the same study.

Frequently asked questions

How does the review analyzer work?
It takes the 100 newest App Store reviews of the app you pick and sends the text of each one to Jev, a model from TypeSafe AI that answers fixed questions with a choice or a probability. Jev never sees the star rating, so the stars and the text can be compared.
Is it free?
Yes. Opening an analysis that already exists is always free. Each visitor can also send a few new apps to be analysed per day.
How accurate are the labels?
In a hand check of the surprise-charge label on the 1.1 million review study, about 9 in 10 flagged reviews were correct. Short or sarcastic reviews are the usual misses. 100 reviews is a small sample, so treat small differences as noise.
Which reviews are used?
The newest 100 reviews AppSigma has collected for the app across App Store storefronts, in any language.
